So this weekend Jules and I got tickets to the City Cellar event at Melbourne’s Food and Wine Festival. The Festival gives you the chance to swirl, smell and sip your way through wines from 60 of Victoria’s best vineyards in the surrounds of Melbourne Convention Exhibition Centre lawn. Looking out over the Yarra, we spent the day sipping great wines, listening to live music and eating various nibbles from regional producers. My favourite was the sparkling Shiraz, very refreshing and different to anything I have ever had before.
Needless to say by the end of the day (after 5 hours of sipping wine) I was very drunk….
Ozzy Observations:
Observations Of The Day: I still dislike white wine.
New Findings: Sparkling Shriaz is my new go to drink for those hot summer days when red vino is slightly to heavy.
Animal Watch: You’ll have to ask Jules what sort of animal I resembled post sampling around 30 wines?
It’s a great festival! And have to agree on the sparkling Shiraz, it is definitely something else!
