While I am excited to get back and see Jules & Kezzaroooo, I am going to miss my family so much. Being at opposite ends of the world is awesome for visiting and seeing new places but I do sometimes wish we were all closer together – maybe one day. A few tears were shed at the airport (getting emotional in my old age, this never usually happens).
This family holiday is up there with being one of the best to date. Not only was some of the scenery was on par with Yellowstone, but we got to see the famous Glaciers, a wild Grizzly, hike in one of the world’s most beautiful national parks and do some pretty cool shit (whitewater rafting, kayaking, paddle boarding, tobogganing and jet skiing across the largest natural freshwater lake by surface area that is west of the Mississippi River).
Above all, now I am older and wiser – I appreciated the experience and quality time with my dad, sister and brother so much more than I did at 27 and even 29. Not a lot of families get to do this, and we have done it about 5x over in the last 11 years.
So many unforgettable memories that will stay with me for the rest of my life.
