Hike to Scenic Point

Another early wake up call, this time 5am. Wowzers.

We headed to Two Medicine Lake to hike to Scenic Point. The actual hike to Scenic Point is only 3.1 miles, but the vertical elevation gained is 2,350 feet. It was steep. The switchbacks just kept on coming. Lucky we had plenty of snacks, or the mood in camp might have dampened.

The view from the top was well worth it, sweeping views of Glacier’s peaks, the Two Medicine Valley and the Bob Marshall Wilderness.

Our legs were fried at the end of the hike, so we decided to drive Going to The Sun road that afternoon vs attempting another walk.

Going to The Run Road is one of the most scenic drives in the world. The road spans 50 miles, through the park’s wild interior, winding around mountainsides, offering views of impressive glaciers, beautiful valleys, cascading waterfalls, towering mountains and colorful wildflowers.

By the time we got back to the condo, we had been out for over 14hours. I think we all slept well that night.
